Candidate will deliver respiratory care services under the order of a physician and in accordance with protocols established by the hospital, other health care providers and functions in situations of unsupervised patient contact requiring individual judgment. Functions as the "resident expert" proficient in all clinical respiratory procedures. Serves as a resource and frequently provides oversight of others. Supervises students, respiratory care practitioners, and respiratory therapist.
Job Requirements
Requirements Graduate of AMA approved program of RRT. Bachelors/Masters degree preferred. Current Florida RRT license, BLS, ACLS/NRP/PALS. AARC and FSRC is preferred. 3 yrs acute care experience. Interpersonal, advanced respiratory assessment/evaluation, critical thinking, neo/pediatric care skills, advanced emergency and adult critical care, advanced airway management, preceptor, delegation/charge, demonstrate sound clinical judgment, communication, teamwork, windows application, and customer service skills are required.

The Respiratory Care Services Department at Sarasota Memorial includes; a Pulmonary Function Lab, a Pulmonary Stress Lab, the Hyperbaric Medicine Department, and a separate negative pressure procedure room for diagnostic and therapeutic inpatient and outpatient procedures. Currently, we are seeking experienced:
Respiratory Therapists.
This position functions as an integral member of the Clinical Therapy staff of the Respiratory Care Services department who renders routine cardiopulmonary support to patients. Also functions in leadership role in the clinical therapy section and may be required to participate in other R.C. support services. Demonstrates knowledge of growth and development and possesses ability to assess, interact, communicate, and care for age specific patient population.
• Licensure as a Certified or Registered Respiratory Therapist with valid Florida State license under the Florida State Chapter 468, as CRT or RRT.
• Demonstrates ability to perform clinical and technical procedures outlined in the job description.
• Requires Current BLS.
